SCHOOLS AND YOUNGER VISITORS

Schools and Children’s Organisations:

The Museum welcomes visits from schools, Brownies and Cub/Scout groups and other children’s organisations. Special openings on dates and times to suit timetables can be arranged.

Handling Collections

We have available for loan two handling collections:

  • Items from World War II
  • Domestic Items of the Past (mostly Victorian)
  • Each contains about twenty items and comes with teachers notes

    Charges

We make no charge for either group visits to the Museum or for the loan of the handling collections. Instead, users usually give a donation to the Museum. These are most welcome.

    Contact

To arrange a visit or to borrow the handling collection, please email sallyatmuseum@yahoo.co.uk or call Sally Donlevy on 020 8946 5347.

    Younger Visitors

For younger visitors (7 to 10) who come during our normal opening hours, we offer a personal research project, “Can You Find Out”. This has been compiled by a local teacher to engage childrens’ interest and to help them in getting a grasp of Wimbledon’s history.
